Hopefully you will already have filled up most of the Database. There are still numerous entries that have not yet been addressed, along with several that are essentially luck-based which you may or may not have unlocked.

On this page you’ll be completing a few Sandbox games for the remaining entries, along with all the remaining miscellaneous achievements. After that, there will be advice on any remaining entries that have not unlocked through normal play.

SANDBOX GAME 1 – CHALLENGE GERMANY:

Start by heading back to Germany. Change the settings as shown. If something isn’t mentioned, leave it be.

Basic Settings:
- Standard (top line, change from Creative)
Dinosaurs:
- No Egg Failures > On
- Dinosaur Disease Level > No Disease
- Dinosaurs Don’t Starve > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaurs Don’t Dehydrate > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaur Comfort > Off
- Dinosaur Cohabitation > All Like
Gameplay:
- Scientist Unrest > Off
- Infinite Candidate Refreshes > On
- Expeditions and Fossils > Off
- Task Time > 10%
Park:
- Unlimited Power > On
- Instant Construction/Destruction > On
- Cash > Unlimited Should be default but make sure
Environment:
- Weather Level > No Weather

Start the game.

Once you have loaded in, build an Arrival Point, Control Centre and Science Centre. Placement is fairly important here; if you copy the image below you’ll have several jumps you can drive over for an achievement later on.

Now go to your Staff tab. You’re going to get some staff with the capacity for maximum skill points in one of the categories, both for some achievements and to help with the research that needs to be done. Their current skill doesn’t matter; you’re looking for staff whose maximum is 10, eg. Logistics 5/10.

You can refresh the candidates as often as you need by pressing Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (2). You want 2 who can maximise Logistics, 1 in Genetics and 1 in Welfare.

• Structures > Infrastructure > Staff Centre (3/0/0)

Build a Staff Centre and connect it to the existing buildings. You can also hire an additional 2 scientists if you need to. One more scientist who can reach 10 Logistics will be more than enough. Obviously, only train staff in their relevant skill category.

• Structures > Infrastructure > Staff Improvements 1 (5/0/0)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Staff Improvements 2 (9/0/0)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Staff Improvements 1 (16/0/0) optional

This will give you plenty of available upgrades to train your staff to have 10 skill points. For each of Logistics, Genetics and Welfare, you will unlock:

  • Engineer 1st Class

Reached Logistics level 10 with a staff member

• Welfare > Gene Modification > Positive Temperament (2/9/0)

This random research unlocks the Database entry for Comfort.

Build an Expedition Centre and a Response Facility. Build a Hatchery with a small enclosure attached and release at least 1 dinosaur. The species and exact number doesn’t matter.

• Structures > Infrastructure > Efficiency Upgrades (5/0/0)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Cost Upgrades (9/0/0)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Paleo-Medical Facility (1/0/3)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Efficiency Upgrades 2 (9/0/0)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Storm Defence Upgrades (9/0/0)
• Structures > Infrastructure > Automatic Resupply Upgrades (16/0/0)

Build a Paleo-Medical Facility to the right of the Staff Centre.

• Structures > Infrastructure > Vehicle Upgrades (16/0/0) 4 scientists
• Structures > Infrastructure > Additional Vehicle Upgrades (16/0/0) 4 scientists

Now you need to have 500 guests in the Park. You should know what to do by now. Open the Park at the Arrival Point, which will unlock your Core Buildings.

Build a Small Hotel, Restroom and Emergency Shelter along with a set of Small Amenities. Add ample Viewing Galleries.

• Structures > Guest Comfort > Wide Path (5/0/0)

Depending on your park design, you may need to upgrade some of the paths to fit more guests.

You should already have the Ceratosaurus genome at 100% so release 2-3 batches which will bring the guests flooding in.

• Structures > Attractions > Tour Rides (5/0/0)
• Welfare > Enclosures > Medium Electrified Fence (3/0/0)
• Welfare > Enclosures > Large Electrified Fence (5/0/0)

Now you can have some fun in the Ranger Jeep. Depending on the exact placement of the buildings, you should find that there are several ramps that have been created. Drive from the Response Facility along the path shown and, if you don’t crash, you should unlock:

  • As Light as a Feather

Got 5 seconds of air time with a ground vehicle (within a 20-second window)

Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (18)

1 guideGuide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (19)Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (20)Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (21)

Otherwise, you can adjust the terrain to create jumps. Often, driving into rocks will propel you up and you’ll spin around, which counts as being airbourne. Keep driving like a lunatic and you should get it fairly easily.

That’s going to be all for Sandbox Game 1.

SANDBOX GAME 2 – CHALLENGE CANADA:

This time you want to create a sandbox game in Creative Mode.

Basic Settings:
- Creative
Dinosaurs:
- No Egg Failures > On
- Dinosaur Disease Level > No Disease
- Dinosaurs Don’t Starve > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaurs Don’t Dehydrate > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaur Comfort > Off
- Dinosaur Cohabitation > All Like
Gameplay:
- Scientists > Off
- Expeditions and Fossils > Off
- Task Time > 10%
Park:
- Unlimited Power > On
- Instant Construction/Destruction > On
- Cash > Unlimited Should be default but make sure
Environment:
- Weather Level > No Weather

Start up the game.

Build an Arrival Point. Put down a Hatchery with an enclosure attached. Also place an Aviary and a Lagoon, each with their respective Hatcheries.

You have access to everything in Creative Mode, so feel free to put on any upgrades you wish.

Start with the Hatchery. You simply need to release any land-based dinosaurs that you haven’t already. You only need 1 dinosaur and, thanks to the sandbox settings, they will remain content. Releasing more just takes more time as they leave the Hatchery and there is no need.

If you have followed this walkthrough to a tee, you’ll need to release:

- Acrocanthosaurus
- Archaeothornithomimus
- Camarasaurus
- Carcharodontosaurus
- Chungkingosaurus
- Corythosaurus
- Crichtonosaurus
- Dreadnaughtus
- Dryosaurus
- Iguanodon
- Indoraptor
- Maiasara
- Ouranosaurus
- Pentaceratops
- Proceratosaurus
- Sauropelta
- Torosaurus
- Troodon
- Tsintaosaurus

Now head to the Aviary and release 1 of:

- Cearadactylus
- Maaradctylus
- Tapejara

Finally, go to the Lagoon Hatchery and release:

- Elasmosaurus
- Liopleurodon

If you have missed any, it should be easy enough to work out. You can compare your Database with the dinosaur lists in the Hatchery or take a look at the spreadsheet.

This will unlock:

  • One More for the Sticker Book

Released at least one of every dinosaur genus in the game

Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (23)

1 guideGuide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (24)Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (25)

If you have DLC installed, this will still unlock. It refers to the base game dino's only.

SANDBOX GAME 3 – Any location:

This is going to be quick.

Basic Settings:
- Standard (top line, change from Creative)
Dinosaurs:
- No Egg Failures > On
- Dinosaurs Don’t Starve > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaurs Don’t Dehydrate > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaur Status Checks > Off
- Dinosaur Escapes > High Escapes
- Dinosaur Comfort > On
Gameplay:
- Scientists > Off
- Expeditions and Fossils > Off
- Research > Off
- Task Time > 10%
Park:
- Unlimited Power > On
- Instant Construction/Destruction > On
- Cash > Unlimited Should be default but make sure
Environment:
- Weather Level > No Weather

Build an Arrival Point, a 1-Section Aviary with an Aviary Hatchery and a Response Facility.

Now incubate and release a batch of flying reptiles. The species doesn’t matter.

Most importantly, do not adjust the environment to make them content. You want the flyers to break out.

Take to the Capture Team helicopter when they do. Pressing Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (27) will still lock onto flyers when they are in the air, so you can try to tranquilise them right away. Eventually, they will settle on the ground, where they are even easier to hit. Once you succeed in putting one to sleep, you’ll unlock:

  • Good Aim

Manually Tranquillised an escaped Flying Reptile

Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (28)

1 guideGuide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (29)Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (30)

SANDBOX 4 – Any location:

This last sandbox game is for Database Injury entries, most likely Ingrown Claw which is quite rare and probably didn't occur through natural gameplay. If you have all the Injury entries, obviously skip this game.

Assuming you have been playing without the DLC installed, you are now at the pointy end with everything but the Database achievement unlocked as a result of that missing injury. The main purpose of this sandbox game is to get the Ingrown Claw injury, along with any other combat-based injuries you may be missing. It's basically going to be a bloodbath!

Basic Settings:
- Standard (top line, change from Creative)
Dinosaurs:
- No Egg Failures > On
- Dinosaur Injuries > On
- Dinosaurs Don’t Starve > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaurs Don’t Dehydrate > All Dinosaurs
- Dinosaur Status Checks > Off
- Dinosaur Escapes > No Escapes
- Dinosaur Comfort > Off
- Dinosaur Combat Frequency > Normal
- Dinosaur Vehicle Aggression > Off
- Dinosaur Cohabitation > Normal
Gameplay:
- Scientists > Off
- Expeditions and Fossils > Off
- Research > Off
- Task Time > 10%
Park:
- Unlimited Power > On
- Instant Construction/Destruction > On
- Cash > Unlimited Should be default but make sure
Environment:
- Weather Level > No Weather

Build an Arrival Point and a Hatchery, with an enclosure attached.

Put the Additional Bays upgrade on the Hatchery so you have 5 bays to work with. Get the following dinosaurs ready then make a save. It’s easier to revert to this save if the enclosure fills up with dead dinosaurs.

The Dilophosaurus is a great victim option. Prepare 3 batches.

The Velociraptor works well as their opponents. They can occupy the other 2 bays. Note, the top solution suggests the Deinonychus as a good alternative to Velociraptors.

Make your save and release them all.

With the settings provided, they will fight but will remain content in the enclosure and will not attack fences or cause any other issues.

Monitor the dinosaurs, checking to see which injuries they get. The unlucky Dilophosaurus are outmatched and will lose the fights, but the ‘Raptors can also be injured.

You should quickly get almost all of the combat-related injuries:

- Concussion
- Damaged Tooth
- Internal Bleeding
- Laceration
- Minor Fracture
- Organ Trauma
- Strain
- Surface Wounds

You should also, eventually, have a dinosaur with Broken Claw. When you see this injury, make a save. There is a small chance it will develop into Ingrown Claw. The odds seem to be very low. Fortunately, you can just keep reloading your save and eventually it should happen.

If it happens to a Dilophosaurus, you want to try to isolate the dinosaur so it’s not involved in another fight where it can potentially die. Fences will build immediately here, so you can sometimes just build around it. Remember that comfort levels are turned off, so it won’t cause any problems like this.

If it’s a ‘Raptor, it should be okay to leave it roaming.

As with all things RNG, this may take 1 to 2 attempts, or it might take 15. Reloading a Broken Claw definitely can result in an Ingrown Claw, even when it hasn’t before. Just keep trying until you get it.

DATABASE TIPS:

For those playing without the DLC, somewhere on this page of the walkthrough you should have unlocked the final Database entry along with the final base-game achievement:

  • I Can See Everything

Completed 100% of the Jurassic World Database

Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (33)

3 guidesGuide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (34)Guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2 (35)

It’s possible this will have unlocked early, and even without DLC there are 3 entries under Jurassic Universe > Characters that are definitely not required. If you are missing something, read on for further advice.

DINOSAURS

Dinosaur Genomes:

Easy. Go into a creative Sandbox game and release any dinosaurs you are missing.

Genetic Mods:

Almost all of the Genetic Modifications are available to research in Chaos Theory 1: Jurassic Park. Comfort can be researched in Sandbox Game 1.

PALEONTOLOGY

Dig Sites:

Somewhat complicated as the research to unlock most dig sites is locked behind a Star-Rating. It's easy enough to play a Sandbox Game 'normally' and increase the rating, but the walkthrough has identified opportunities to conduct the research on missions where it is already available.

Refer to the spreadsheet for the mission where you should have unlocked these. Some will happen automatically (and you will have all of these) but some will need to be researched, under the Species category. You can look at the research tile to see which dig site it will unlock. There is no need to send an expedition to the dig site.

Misc Finds:

Hovering over the locked entry in the Database will tell you where you can find the mineral. Refer to the spreadsheet for a mission where you should already have access to the relevant dig site. Alternatively, refer to Paleo.gg.

BUILDINGS

Buildings:

Can be complicated as some entries refer to specific maps/timelines (eg. Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are different). Some of these are marked but some are not. Refer to the Appendix for which mission you can expect to the unlock any missing entries. Hopefully you kept some saves to reload. If you are able to unlock the entry on your current mission, it will say so in the Database entry.

This is probably the biggest issue for those with or without the DLC. Some DLC-specific entries will have been unlocked early, as you researched their equivalent in the base game. Confusing, I know.

Building Upgrades:

Unlocked through research. Refer to the spreadsheet to find which mission you can expect to unlock an entry.

Fences and Paths:

As above, refer to the spreadsheet.

JURASSIC UNIVERSE:

Characters:

Almost all entries will have all unlocked whilst playing through the Campaign and Chaos Theory missions. Check the entry in the spreadsheet to see specifics. There will be 3 entries linked to a Dominion Chaos Theory mission, even if you do not have DLC - these are not required.

Locations:

Unlocked by playing through the Campaign and Chaos Theory missions.

AILMENTS

Diseases:

Most occur at random and you should hopefully have picked them up whilst playing to this point.

There are 2 main types - dinosaur related and feeder related. Dinosaur related can occur randomly or under certain circ*mstances - during a storm, if the dinosaur isn't content, etc... Feeder related occur at random and only afflict Carnivore Feeders.

As mentioned at the start of the walkthrough, larger dinosaurs who require a Live Prey Feeder will also eat from a Carnivore Feeder. You can boost your chance of getting the feeder-based diseases by placing Carnivore Feeders, even though they aren't required. This increases the odds of getting diseases.

The walkthrough has used smaller scavengers (Coelophysis and Compsognathus) often in conjunction with the larger Carnivores, so hopefully you should already have these.

Remember that you need to research the cure to unlock the Database entry.

Injuries:

Once again, these are random. Most combat-related injuries can be unlocked in Sandbox Game 4. Refer to the Appendix for details on which mission you can expect to find the others. For Swallowed Phone, be sure to retrieve the Albertosaurus during DFW Campaign - California as it will always have that injury.

PALEOBOTANY

All entries unlock automatically in the first mission.

15. Title Updates13. Challenge 5: Southwest USA
